    Yet Another Bladder Infection
So I have been having really bad bladder infections lately this is now my fourth uti that I have had in the past 4 months. I am 18 years old and I know I reallly should not be having these problems. I have already gone to the doctor and he has prescribed me some antibiotics. I now realize that I must drink more water then I have been. And I need to pee after having sex to lower the risk of infections. But this bladder infection just came out of the blue! The only thing I could think of is that it happened because I kept holding it in (I was on a road trip for 7 hours.. had no rest stops) and was not drinking enough water, would that be a possibility? Also, now that I have it (agaiiin :() any suggestions or home remedies that you may have to take away the pain/ discomfort (like I said before I do have antibiotics for it now but it isn't helping for the pain and it doesn't start taking affect on me for several days.)

If you are prone to Bladder infections, then a 7 hour road trip with no stops would most surely create one!

Sometimes the area gets oversensitive and the infections just seem to flare up for the smallest things. This can become chronic, if you don't take care.

Highly recommended - cranberry capsules of at least 10,000 mg strength. Keep some in your bag at all times and take 2 as soon as you get the slightest symptoms and then 2 every hour until the symptoms abate. Drink water with them. Really helps the pain.

You must drink water regularly and avoid astringent drinks like alcohol, coffee and tea - unless you're also drinking water as well. Avoid sex if you've got an infection, and always have a wee and wipe yourself after sex when you don't.

Cold pressed pumpkin seed oil or 100% pure essential pumpkin seed oil also work wonders when you feel the first signs of an infection - I have no idea why, but they do. You need to take a dessertspoon of the cold pressed oil every hour, or about 4-5 drops of the essential oil.

From a metaphysical perspective - bladder infections can flare up regularly when you're feeling pi$$ed off with something or someone - think about what might be happening in your life and try to deal with those feelings, if this is the case for you.

I'm not sure - In Australia you can buy them from health food stores, pharmacy (drug stores in the US?) and sometimes the supermarket.
