    Keyboard buttons incorrect
I have an Asus A6Tc ( http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1...86&modelmenu=1 ). I have discovered that although all the alphabetical letters enter correctly, a lot of the numbers and symbols don't.

The key right of 'L' and left of 'enter' has an '@' symbol on its upper half. It is on the upper half to indicate I have to hold down shift in order to... erm... get at it, right? However when I hold down shift and click the button in question I get one of these "

I tried clicking the button which is meant to give me " and discovered with mild surprise that it gave me the desired '@'. However I think the is mere coincidence.

Other buttons on my keyboard either give me strange symbols e.g. the squiggly to the left of the 'enter' key gives me this |

Or don't respond at all e.g. holding down the function button and clicking almost any of the function buttons and you'll get nothing or it'll perform stuff like 'page up' or 'home'.

What have i done wrong and how do i undo/change it and get my keyboard to perform like it should??

The only possible explanation for this that I can think of is that when I first turned it on, Windows or something asked me some questions. I may have entered the wrong answer when it asked me what language keyboard I was using. It recommended that I chose one of them (I think it was US or something) so I chose the recommendation.

Please answer ASAP because I getting really frustrated.

PS clicking the pound sign gives me '#' and clicking # gives me |

You need to check your keyboard mapping is for the correct country.

Start > Control Panel > Regional Settings > Languages tab > Text services section at top > Details Button > Opens Keyboard settings.

Make sure these are correct for your country.
