    Noisy sink drain
    Hi
In the last 3 days we noticed that when the dishwater empties (this is the worst noise) the gurgling noise is very loud and is much louder than ever it used to be. There is no obvious signs of blockage.:confused

Do you have an air gap intalled on the counter of the sink? Does water back up into sink, or come out of air gap?

This is a tough one. Im guessing you have a problem with the dishwasher itself. I would suggest having an applience repairman come out and have a look at the dishwasher.

Where does the DW drain into? The disposal or a branch tailpiece on the drain? Also check the hose for kinks. Let me know, Tom

    Thank you for your response.
DW drains into branch tailpiece. No kinks in drain.
Its quieter when I plug both sinks when its draining.
I am running dishwasher cleaner with very hot water.
We have checked the vent pipe on the roof and its fine.
We have checked the main sewerage drain near the road and water is flowing.

Your branch tailpiece has a baffle in the branch. I believe something's lodged in the baffle that's churning up the discharge from the DW. Try this, Remove the hose and clean around the baffle. Let me know if it helps. Good luck, Tom
