    Ceiling fan remote does not work
    I broke a ceiling fan remote and ordered a new remote. On the new remote when a put in the battery the little red light comes on and stays on but none of the buttons work. I have checked and the dip swithches are the same as the prior remote . Any suggestions

    Sounds like the new remote is defective too, the light should not stay on.
