    Laptop not connecting
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop as well as a PC. They are both wireless, which makes this weird. I am connected to the internet with my PC, but my laptop won't connect. My WIFI is turned on. Anyone know what the issue may be?

What type of modem/router are you using?
Is your laptop receiving any response from the wireless router?

    Has it ever worked?

What configuration/software/hardware has changed or been added since last worked?

I have a Linksys Wireless-G router 2.4 GHZ. I was using it all night, shut it to watch a movie, and now it doesn't work. Ive unplugged the router and plugged it back in. The PC is working fine, but the laptop isn't responding. The WIFY light is flashing so it is connected.

See if you can make new connection

    Open Network and Sharing
    -Click on Manage Wireless Networks
    -Click on Add
Choose add network that is in range

See what comes up (may have to give it new name)

Also try in Sharing center to click on Connect to a Network and show wireless networks and see if yours shows up and double click on it and go through screens

    Hope this helps out somewhat
