Should I have sex again tonight or wait until next month?
HI! I'm new however I did post a bulleting a few days ago asking if there was a chance I'm pregnant. Still don't know the answer to that yet. BUT my husband and I have 2 boys and would love to have a little girl this time around. I don't know what you all know about "gender selection" but I was told to have intercourse a couple days BEFORE ovulation to convieve a girl. My period started on July 26. We had sex on the 30th, aug. 2nd, 3rd and 6th. Should we have sex again tonight or do you think its too close to ovulation? I'm on an average 28 day cycle. Thanks for any help or advice!

There is no way to determine what sex you will end up with, it is just pot luck.

All methods, potions and positions are old wives tales :)

There's two different types of sperm in a mans body. The X and Y. There really is no way to make his slurge out X sperm. And I doubt your ovulations plays a part on that. Good luck though.

Your thinking of the Shettles Method. Read through this link... one of the main things to look for in any study is can it be replicated? Will this method work? It will for some, but was it the method or was it luck?

Four problems with trying to time conception... One: your dates could be off since you might have a good idea of when you most likely ovulate, but not know the exact day. Two: ovulation can occur outside of your norm from time to time. Three: a 28 day cycle does not mean you will automatically follow the norm for ovulation. Four: trying to time it so closely can actually make it take longer for you to become pregnant.

You have your bases pretty well covered if you happened to ovulate in the last few days. Remember, there is more to it than just timing, so try not to get discouraged if it doesn't happen this time around.

The Shettles Method of Sex Selection: Fact or Fiction Can you choose a girl or boy?

Thanks everyone! We got pregnant with both of our sons so easily but this is the first time we've really "tried" to get pregnant. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I know it can take some time!
