How do I claim the NJ-2450 credit?
    Hi,
I did my taxes online and found that I paid too much UI/Disbility insurance because the tax software prompted me to fill out a NJ-2450 form. The reason that I paid too much was because I worked for two different companies in 2008. The form says to take it to your employer for the credit but when I did that they told me that I have to contact the state. Does anyone know how to receive this credit? I efiled my state tax return so I didn't have to mail anything in and I'm thinking that maybe I was supposed to mail the form in but I'm not sure. Please help!
    Thanks!

The NJ-2450 form says that it needs to be submitted by you with your NJ-1040. Here is the form:

You should have filed this back in April when you did your 2008 NJ tax return. If you are using software that is smart enough to automatically generate the completed form NJ-2450, why didn't you send it in then?

Since the form must be submitted with NJ-1040, and you have already e-filed your NJ-1040, I suggest filing an amended return using NJ-1040X, and include your completed Form NJ-2450. See line 51 of NJ-1040X:

Also note that you will need to include copies of your W2's to substantiate your claim.
