It's just the normal type they use at body shops to paint cars.

I would consider investing in a different type of sprayer home and automotive paint are different and the spray tips used for auto paint don't spray latex house paint well an airless sprayer is a great investment. If your not going to use it much the home centers have some that will adequately do the job. Post back if I missed anything . GOOD LUCK, AC

I have the canister on gun type. Any help
Already its not the gun to use.
    Reasons.

    1. Spray painting a house can take up to 2 1/2 times more paint in coverage.
    2. You will more then likely need to cut down the paint to spray it.
    3. Also when you spray paint a whole house you need another person to "back roll" with a standard roller. The reason for this if you bump a wall on installing carpet, moving in etc and need to touch up the wall you will NEVER match the paint unless you spray it again. The reason is if the prayer puts on a coat that reflects light a certain way. The paint brush touch up reflects light in a different way and shows it as a Shadow or a brighter color. Either or there's more involved here then you think. If you really want to blow through this do what we do on small jobs

If a paint color is involved tint the primer the color the finish is. They usually do that for free at the paint store. Buy and 18" paint roller and pan and you will be surprised how fast you will paint a wall. I can cut in and roll out rooms almost as fast as it takes you to set plastic in the windows/ set the sprayer up/ get the viscosity right to spray, spray. Clean up sprayer.

If you still want to spray then rent a professional sprayer that can Handel a 5 gal bucket of paint. On the bucket it will tell you the method of mixing for spraying. Also the Tip on the sprayer will have a viscosity rate it needs for that size of tip hole.

Agreed, you can't use a automotive paint sprayer for house paint, viscosity is way too thick.
