    I received a summons from jrs-i inc
    I received a summons for $1736.61 here in chicago I need to know who this is and why?

    It should say so on the summons. Chances are they are a debt collection company.

    The summons will indicate who the plaintiff is.

    What you do is send an answer to the summons to the court stating your Intent to Defend. Then send a copy of that to the Plaintiff with a request for verification of the debt.
