    Water not working
We had the power turned off for several months to an older home. When we had it turned back on the water will not run. Any suggestions?

Check the main line to make sure it's really turned on. Also check the main valve in the house and make sure it's also on. If your home has public utilties, these are the two main water valves that supply water to the home. If you are on well water, check that the well pump is working. Extended non-usage can damage water pumps. If you still don't have water at the house, you can check the water meter to see if the water meter is spinning, this may indicate a break in the water line from the street to the house.
