    Windows movie maker will not load avi. Files
    When I try to load an avi. Movie file I get a message saying that I do not have the necessary codec installed on my computer.

    Get the movie player vlc its free and its probably the best video player out there

    Vlc def plays 90% of media files out there. Another great one is KMplayer I recentlt have swiched from vlc to kmplayer.

    But to answer your question you will need a codec pack installed to view that file on current media player.

Just learning to use Movie maker and am already stuck on a problem. When I select a frame from the storyboard at the bottom of the screen, the frame to the left of the one I select appears in the preview screen. How do I get things back in sync so the selected frame shows up in the preview window.
