    Warm refrigerator
    Whirlpool side by side fridge/freezer. Freezer is fine, but the fridge isn't cold. Any suggestions?

    If the coils are clogged with ice and frost then it is your defrost timer switch that went bad. You could let the coils defrost totally and turn back on the machine. That would last you about a week until the unit becomes clogged with ice and the fridge part doesn't get cooled down properly.

    If you know how to fix appliances, then use your multitester and test the defrost timer switch. You will have to look up the schematic of your side by side on the internet to see where the defrost timer is located.

    You can call your local appliance parts store and see if they sell replacements. If they do and you have tested your switch and it's bad, then a new switch should set you back about $30. If you call out a repairdude you'll pay about $35 for the same part and a service call on top of that.
