    Stihl Recoil Spring
    Anyone know an easy way to install the recoil spring on a Stihl Weed Eater, Mine broke and I need to replace

    Hi,
    If you purchase a new one from a dealer, it will come prewound in a wire or plastic keeper that is designed to do just that. First make sure you have the spring right side out, grab it with a pair of needle nose pliers near the outer hook anchor point and slowly ease ii into place which will slip the spring home while pushing the keeper off. Do it carefully and it will do the work for you.
