    Postpardem Depression?
I just had a baby 7 days ago, and ever since I've been very sniffly and crying... and being upset because I can't be intimate with my husband.I feel so lonely and find myself sometimes sinking in this hole where I can't think of anything but crying and being upset. I hug and snuggle my baby to try and make these feelings go away but I feel disconnected from my guy and I miss being with him. I'm tired and stressed from being up all hours of the night... What's wrong with me? How do I make it stop ? :(

Oh, Kitty, I take it this is your first baby!!

You are suffering from sleep deprivation I am sure. I have been there 4 times.

I don't know how old you are or if you are breastfeeing. But these feelings you are having are NORMAL. They WILL go away.

Your body is very hormonal right now. This will go away when your hormones get back to their normal levels.

This is better known as the "baby blues." Post partum depression is MUCH more serious and lasts for quite a long time.

The only thing you can do right now is to nap when the baby naps, eat healthy, take a long hot bath. Treat yourself good.

    This too shall pass.
