    Its been a while
I have a daughter that's 14 and a son that's 8. After birth I had an iud(not sure which) placed in for 5 years with irregular periods. It had to be removed at 5 years(expiration) so I put in another and removed it after 2 years this time no period just spotting once a month. The rewmoval was on July 2nd. My husband is in the military and is away so he was home only one weekened. On July 3rd the day after removal I had really no bleeding but my boobs felt like they would explode. I had sex on the 3rd 4th and 5 th and bled for a few hours on the 5th. I still haven't gotten a period and with my first iud my cycle was 23 days. My second iud placed was a once a month spot for a minute. It is now 20 days after intercourse and a few negative urine tests. Besides being tired I feel fine. Im hoping I could still be pregnant and its too early to tell . Can anyone tell me if it took more than three weeks after intercourse to test positiveon a urine test? Some websights say yes others say no.
    Thank you

Every woman is different. Sad fact, some women never get a positive through a pregnancy test or only get a positive later on in pregnancy.

I'd say it's still a bit early to test. If you still haven't gotten your period within a week then test again. Use first morning urine, it's more accurate.

A blood test is more accurate but you have to see your doctor for that.

    I wish you the best.

Good luck and keep us posted. :)

3 weeks is a bit soon, And, if you are hoping to conceive, it may take a while longer since you've had an IUD for the past 7 years.

Had to spread the rep but I agree.
