Black Lab losing hair under armpits and hock
Hi, I have a 13 month old black lab who all of a sudden seems to be losing hair under his front armpits and between his hips on his rear legs. The skin doesn't seem to be dry. There is no redness or rash in these areas. Also he doesn't seemed bothered at all in these areas i.e. no licking or biting. I feed him orjien adult food. My friends who own labs say its normal because of how much excersie I give him. i.e. friction rubbing the har off. Any idea what could be causing this?

My German Shepherd's allergies first showed in exactly this same manner - she wasn't uncomfortable, no itching, nothing, just started to lose hair in her "armpits" and groin.

Dogs are built to exercise and run. I've never heard of that same exercise/running wearing their hair off!
