    Benzoyl Peroxide
Is Benzoyl Peroxide an ingredient to cleansing products to reduce pimples or an over the counter product?

Many otc facial cleansers have benzoyl peroxide. There may be prescription strength as well, I'm not sure, the otc's have always worked well enough for me to never feel the need to look into it. There's also a lot of acne spot treatments with benzoyl peroxide in them. I use those more than the face wash.

Benzoyl peroxide is an ingredient in some acne cleansers. They work really well in reducing the size of pimples. It dries them out. I don't think the face cleansers are that great because they can dry out your entire face rather than just the pimple. Instead I like to dab the cleanser on each zit and let it dry overnight then wash it in the morning. Persa gel by clean & clear is good too. It has 10% benzoyl peroxide. You can find them in a lot of cleansers. You don't need a precsription to buy them.
