Rear panel replacement on Maytag washer MTW5700TQ0
I replaced the drain hose on my Maytag MTW5700TQ0 washer. The rear panel was very difficult to remove because of two clips that slide up into slots on the back panel and hold it tight to the frame. This mechanism seems to hold the entire frame together. I now need to move the washer to a new location and need to get the back panel on properly, but I can't figure out how to get those clipe to re-engage so that the rear panel will be on tight. Any advice? Is there a way to remove the front of the control panel so that I can get my hands in there to pull the clips into their slots on the top panel? I feel like an idiot, but I don't want to pay to have a repair technician come to my house if it is something simple that I can do myself.

First, access to a Maytag washer is through the front panel. That's one of the things they use to advertise as a big advantage of their machine. Can't find break down of your model. Also can't remember is front panel comes off first or if top has to be lifted in the front first. Probably have to remove top to properly reconnect the back panel. Can you post pic of back and clips?
