No water pressure in the shower
We just moved into a 8-10 year old house in good condition. The master bathroom upstairs has no pressure in the shower... both hot and cold water are working but there is no pressure... the sinks faucets have decent pressure but the shower is very weak stream... do you know why that is?

If the sprinklers outside in the lawn are on, will that affect the pressure in the house. We also have a pool which has a leak... with the auto fill on, the pool fills automatically when the water level lowers. If the auto fill is filling the pool will that affect the pressure in the shower?

p.s: we recently replaced the shower head since there was a leak/drip from the head but that didn't fix it... so we hired a plumber who opened it up from the handle part and fixed the drip. That was a few weeks back. The pressure comes and goes I feel

    Please help!

What kind of tub and shower valve, one handle, two handle or three? Did you have the lack of pressure before the plumber came? How is the pressure and flow at the tub spout?

There is no tub just a shower stall. The shower is one handle and you have to turn it left or right to make it cold or hot and pull it out to increase water volume. The pressure comes and goes. Last night when I took the shower it was OK not great but OK. Before the plumber came it was the same. The bathroom also has a tub/jacuzzi and the water that comes out the faucet there( 2 handle) is like a river. It's a big tub and fills in a couple of minutes. And the double sinks are also the same. Its just the shower that's not great! When we moved in, the previous owners had very bad almost non existent shower heads. For a second I thought there was no shower head just the pipe but it was a very small narrow one. Now we got one of the big ones from home depot. The ones that you can change settings on.

Remove the shower head. Turn water on and see if you have good flow. If you do, look inside the shower head and remove the water saver device. It's a plastic disk with a small hole in it.

Sounds like you have a Moen shower valve. Should have checked this site before calling plumber. Moen will give you a new cartridge which you can easily change yourself.
