Me and my ex boyfriend broke up 4 months ago as 9 month couple. We broke due the long distance from my job. I will be back in 6 months and he told me that he wanted to be friends and wanted to see where things go from there. He has been bugging me for pic's and got mad upset when I didn't send it to him. Is he really wanting to try again?

You really won't know that until your back close to each other again. Time has gone by and you have lead separate lives. You both may have changed and maybe now what once was will never be again. Just ask him what the deal is. Don't sit and wait for subtle clues he wants you back.

No point sitting around looking for clues. If you want to know, ask him directly.

But until you get back from where you're working. 6 months later, both of you could be different people.

I did ask him if he ever see us working it out but is reply ''is he wanted us to start fresh and be friends and then see where it goes''. I don't want to be pushy. I have dated guys but I can't get him out of my head. I feel like I am so drawn to him. I just don't want to waist my time being hopeful.

Sounds more like a breakup to me. He's just letting you down easy, but he's also keeping you around. After he said that he wants to start fresh, it just means that he's no longer committed to you. So he can go explore and experiment with other girls, while keeping you as a backup. If things don't work out for him with other girls, then he can always go back to you.

In a successful relationship, when the going gets tough, long distance or not, a couple would try to work things out together. He clearly doesn't have that desire to work things out with you.

I'd say, move on with your life and find someone who won't treat you as a backup. You deserve better than this.

I also think "starting fresh" never works. You are what you are. You can start again with different ideas. But it will go back to what it was.
