    Cake baking
    Hi dears,

I have made a cake using cake mix box, but after baling it, the cake becomes so dry. Its crispy. I baked the cake in Microvawe oven. Tell me why the cake becomes so crispy.. not so soft...

Did you follow microwave instructions on the box? Cake baking does not usually go well in a microwave.

I've never heard of a microwavable cake.

Normally I find that if a cake is hard and dry, its been cooked too fast, so the temprature needs to come down, and the time needs to go up.

In a microwave, you can't control this...

I would check the instructions and make sure it was done right.

Jiffy cakes (brand name) can be microwaved, but the baker has to jump through hoops so the cake won't be batter in the middle and concrete on the outside. (We old people know stuff.)
