I don't understand the question. The purpose of a rental car is to take it off site (away from the place where you rented it).

Rental companies have their own insurance.

Your company may also have insurance. You may be responsible for the deductible in either instance OR your company may hold you responsible for the entire loss.

    Need more info.

Was she restricted to driving only during the work week? The rental's insurance would still pay but if she was restricted her employer could look to her insurance or her individually.

Otherwise the rental car company's insurance is liable.

    Otherwise, what I said applies.

    Hello s:

If your wife HAS liability insurance for her OWN car, then she's already covered. If her company is paying for the rental car, they should also be paying for comprehensive insurance for it too.

That way, it's covered no matter WHERE she is.

    1. first the person who rented the car chooses to purchase additional insurance from the rental company.

    2. the driver of the car would be the next, their auto insurance coverage covers the use of rental cars normally
