    Black spot on tongue
    Black spot on tongue my question is my golden just developed a black spot on her tongue it is flat and not raised why did this happen and is she all right

    There are a few breeds that develop black spots on their tongues, usually Labradors.

    Nothing to be worried about at all, it is just pigment.

    The only breed of dog with an all black tongue is the Chow Chow (random bit of info)

My son is 6 months old and has had a spot on the top part of his tongue for about a week now. It was pretty small but is now about half the size of a dime. He has new teeth coming in on the top but the spot seems too far back and too far to the right for him to have made it from him biting himself....
