    Questions about Wolf Hybrids.
My boyfriend and I just bought a Wolf Hybrid puppy. I've heard that normal dog food isn't good enough for them. Will raw meat make this breed aggressive like it does with normal dogs. Or is this just apart of it's everyday normal diet that it needs, and won't effect it's behavior.

And another question - if anyone has raised these animals around kids. Can you tell me what you did so we can try and make it work.

    Please and Thank You.

A friend of mine has a 100% wolf female. She feeds her wolf raw meat and raw fish. She does not use dog food. She gives her wolf things that they would normally eat in the wild. The wolf is a Siberian Timberwolf and rather large.

As far as little kids are concerned, I don't know. I do know that my friend's wolf is very protective and posessive. Her wolf sleeps on her bed with her, goes everywhere with her owner, and if left alone in a vehicle and sees her owner being approached by another human scratches and bites the dashboard of her truck to pieces.

As far as the diet is concerned, please consult with the wolf hybred breeder and see what diet the parents have been on.

Also, my friend brushes her wolf's teeth on a regular basis so the wolf does not have any teeth problems.

I once had a wolf hybrid. We did feed him dog food with high protein content. As far as children, he was too protective so once the baby came, the wolf had to go.

There are holistic vets out there that swear by a raw diet. I have never seen a vicious dog walk out of my vet!

Thank You! I just read that to introduce raw meat to them - put it in with their dog food.

Yes, I think raw meat is a good idea.
I don't think it'll affect it's behavior because wolfs eat meat in the wild.

Children around a wolf hybrid isn't a good idea because as most people have already mentioned they're very protective.

    Wish you good luck!:)
