    Is it transmission or computer?
    My Oldsmobile Intrigue 1999 shows code P0742. The car started stumble on the road. Is it transmission or computer? Thank you.Valenta

    Transmission--it may be the torque converter locking up. Try dropping and cleaning the pan, changing the filter, and refilling with ATF. Afterwards, disconnect the negative. Battery cable overnight. This will force the PCM to relearn all shift points.
