My tank inside won't fill up
I have checked my well and it is fine but the tank inside my house needs to get to 40 lbs. to shut off but it can't get past 33. You have any idea why this is happeneing?

Not likely, but first check and see if the tank might be COMPLETELY waterlogged. Depress the air valve on top for a few seconds and see if water comes out. If it does, then the tank is shot.

If not, then bear in mind that the tank has nothing to do with building pressure... that's the pump's job. When you say the well is "fine", what do you mean by that?

Is your pump above ground or in the well?

If u have a pressure switch, needs to be adjusted.

Turn off electric power to pump. Remove cover on pressure switch (see image). Inside are directions to adjust.

Crea might be right, but I am under the impression that the pump is running but won't go over 33# of pressure, in which case the problem would seem to be the pump as opposed to the switch.

With cover off pressure switch and power on, if contacts are closed then pump is getting call for water.

Does the pressure gauge ever go higher than 33PSI?

Does pump have a safety shut off if well runs dry?

If impeller was damaged on pump would get the pressure up at all.
