L1 short term to long term
    Hello,

How about chang the status from short term to long term status. For 1 L1 visa holder, do you need to pay tax after you stay more than 183 days ( tax just cover the period after 183 days abd before you leave)or you have to pay all of them since you come here. Thanks for help.

You file your tax return only when your income exceeds the filing requirement. Even if you stay for one week, and your income exceeds the filing requirements, you must file tax return.
During the first year in the U.S. you will file non-resident return, dual status return or resident return depending upon number of days in the U.S. and if you are married or single.
