I followed the above steps and now the car will not start at all. I put the old ignition switch back in and it still would not start. I have no radio & no air conditioning. I'm afraid that I tripped some sort of manufacturers security system (I have no security system on this car). Is there a way to reset the system or do you have any idea what could be the problem? Thanks.

My ignition switch went out and after replacing it with a new one the vehicle will not start or even act like it will turn over (there is no sound). The radio or air conditioner will not come on only the head lights and clock function. I disconnected and reconnected the new one with the same results. I put the old one back in with the same results. I'm afraid that I tripped some sort of manufacturers security system (I do not have a personal security system on this car). Is there a way to reset my vehicle or do you have any other suggestions of what I might have done wrong? Thanks.

Check all under-hood and under-dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

I can not find the "Rate ths Answer" but that fixed the problem. The main fuse (50 amp) was blown. Thanks for the help.
