    2. solutions of lead nitrate and calcium iodide are combined.

    3. isopropyl alcohol (C3H7OH) is burned in oxygen.

    4. iron metal shavings are added to hydrochloric acid.

    1. You have surely learnt that the higher halogen in the periodic table, the more reactive they are. So, a displacement reaction will occur, whereby the chlorine will take the place of the bromine. Since bromine is released, can you now guess the products?

    2. Lead iodide is soluble, as is Calcium iodide. However, when reacted, an insoluble lead compound is obtained. If you know the solubiity of your lead compounds, you should be able to get this.

    3. What are the only products when hydrocarbons are fully burnt in oxygen? These are easy.

    4. You know your basic reaction of

Metal + Acid --> Metal salt + Hydrogen gas

    ?

    5. This is a decomposition reaction.

Ask if you still have problems! :)
