I'm shohan, from srilanka
Me and a few of my friends are currently engaged in a philenthropic event to help the blind .the programme is called "literacy for blind" and through this we are hoping to improve the liking towards written literature (amongst those who are visually handicapped)and to change the age old perception of "literacy is not for the blind".
Initially we have planned to read novels and other forms of written literature to such handicapped individauals with the intention of improving or creating a liking towards literature. Many vocal projection and autitory techniques will be used to achieve this task. Following this, we wish to print books in brail in order to further assist this cause.
Finance is a major barrier which is pulling us back from acieving this goal, but it's a barrier we will overcome eventually. This is where your help is needed as we are on the lookout for both local and global doners or sponsers who are willing to assist us in this worthy but none the less neglected by society, cause.
If any one wishes to donate sponsor or even provide us with a lead to a doner or sponsor we will very much appreciate it.
