Blower motor runs 30 sec fine then very slow-
I have a Payne Air Handler, this morning I woke up with no air blowing out of the vents. I took the cover off the air handler and found the motor turning very slowly. I can turn it freely by hand. I turned off the power to the unit. I turned the power back on after 30 minutes. the blower motor ran at full speed for about 30 seconds, then back to turning very slowly. It appears to be a squirrel cage type fan and I see no external capacitors. Any hints?

It probably has a capicitor somewhere, most are mounted to the squirrel cage
I would find and replace first as its very cheap and possibly the problem
If replaced capicitor doesn`t work, sorry to say but its probably the motor needs replacing
