    Trying to get the water turned off in the kitchen
    Help... we have removed out countertop and sink to get ready for remodel... we turned off the water lines, however the hot water still keeps dripping... there is a line for the dishwasher as well... we turned that off also... what are we doing wrong?

    Likely the shut offs are crummy old gate valves. You will have to hope the valve on the outlet of the hot water tank works better, or the main shut off. Once you have the water off, you can remove the insides of the valve and clean it, or replace it with ball valve that will shut off when you need to. It is also possible the shut off is a globe valve needing a new washer.
