Above ground with leak around return or skimmer
I have a leak in my 24 ft round above ground. It is apparently around the skimmer or the return not of sure which. Should I drain and fix or can it wait until I close at the end of August? A new liner was put in in 2007 and the pool was initially installed in 2002. I have to put water in about every other day. I can handle adding the water every other day, but don't want to cause more damage by waiting. Liner shows wrinkles around the skimmer and return plus the ground is wet around there also. Should I repair as soon as possible or can I wait until close at the end of August?

Sounds like a failed gasket at the strainer. You could patch with pool repair glue which hardens under water. I'd lower the pool level and replace the gasket inside and out.

Can I replace the skimmer in my above ground pool? [ 1 Answers ]

Can I replace the skimmer in my above ground pool with a through the wall skimmer? My current skimmer is one that hangs over the side. It is not a blow up ring pool. It has metal posts and frame that support it. It does not have metal sides.
