    Lennox 10HPB42 Electrical Issue
    Hello,

I had to replace the capacitor and fan motor about two weeks ago. Now, when I energize the units, the 3 amp fuse blows in the furnace. Also, there is no 24v going to the defrost control board. The way the DC board is wired, it has only 5 screws (C,R,O,W1,Y1) with 6 wires connected. A blue wire from the defrost knob is connected with a yellow wire on the Y1 connection. Is my unit wired wrong? Common=brown wire; R=red; O= orange; W1 has a green wire on the DC board; Y1 = blue/yellow. Please advise!

    Thanks,

    Adam

If the unit was wired wrong it would not have worked to start with. The low voltage should have nothing to do with the motor change. Is the 3 amp fuse blows that means you usually have a shorted wire or a bad component that uses 24 volts. It could also be a burnt transformer.
