    1992 Honda Civic cruise control
    Hello to all,

My daughter has a 1992 Honda Civic LX, the cruise control quit working just recently.

It did work intermittingly for a long while, if you played with the set button on the steering wheel. Then just the other day it quit working at all.

The main switch light on the dash does come on when you press it, but the light in the dash panel does not come on when you get up to speed and press the set button, nor does the cruse control kick in.

The label is missing from the fuse box cover under the dash, I have no idea which fuses or relays are for the cruise control, and could there be an inline fuse?

All though the light comes on for the main switch there could be fuses or relays for some of the other parts of the system.

    Where do I start troubleshooting?

    Thank You

There are two quick checks you can do. First is to inspect all the vacuum hoses and make sure they are not cracked or warn. If so replace them. The location of the cruise control box I think is under the dash on the drivers side. But do the vacuum hoses before anything else.

Good try fixit10, but this unit has no vacuum lines its all electronics.

I'm still looking for the problem, thought it was the VSS switch but a friend said if the speedometer was working that was not the problem.

Could be the cruse control unite under the dash, I have no idea how to check it.

    Thanks fixit10.

I have the same car. The relay box under the dash is where you want to look. It's in the second row of fuses. It's a 7.5.. It's the only one there. It's between a 30 and a 10, I believe. . If you had the dash cover (which I do), it's #4

I only started looking because my cruise quit about 2 years ago.
I was going to try to replace the vacuum hoses (yes, they do exist for this model).
Where is the cruise system on this model?
