    Old animated kids movie, blue herons and a blood red crystal
    Hi, I'm looking for a movie I watched when I was little and it was old even then. I can't remember all the details or anything remotely resembling a title but this is what I do know. There was a girl (a princess maybe) names Renee (I think). She had a nursemaid/companion and she was in love with this guy. There was an evil witch in the kingdom and had this thing called the blood red crystal. She didn't want the two of them falling in love so she turned the guy into a blue heron and the girl and her nursemaid were put in prison. I guess the nursemaid knew a little magic because the girl begged to be turned into a heron as well so she could be with her love because I guess he could never be changed back. This was all told as a story to a little girl many years later and at the end she watches a pair of blue herons flying together. Any ideas would be most appreciated, thanks!

    Also, (these movies were on a tape together having been taped off TV who knows when), I remember vaguely a movie about a little girl who runs away from home at night and comes to a railroad track with a cave underneath. A dragon who gathers treasure lives under there but that's about all I remember. Not much to go on, I know, sorry. I appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

    Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! I have been remembering and wondering and looking for these movies for years now. I found them on YouTube and it absolutely made my day! Thank you : )
