    Airconditioning cooling fan not running
On my 99- 3Lt.caravan I have replaced the airconditioner compressor belt 3 times now within a few days. Before it rippes apart, the clutch will squeel awhile, sometimes runs right, even pumps out cool air,but eventually rippes apart. With a fresh start the compressor comes on,but no fan starts up.I have a gage set und an old 120 volt freezer compressor to evacuate if nessesary, but am not to sure of what to do or to look for.The compressor does not seem to be ceased, just hard pumping.many years ago I worked on farmmachinery-airconditioner,and I am very rusty.would sombody have some advise, money is very tide. Thanks skipperone

These are classic overcharge symptoms. Do you have a scale? Then you could evacuate and recharge just the right amount.

Thank you very much... couldn't find my way around here for a while to return my thanks.
Talk with someone in the meantime who advised me to hook up a gauge set and check the high pressure which ran close to 250 with a low around 30-35. After pumping out and releasing the pressure around 170, the squealing stopped and system is working fine. The reason for this high pressure could have been me adding a can of stop seal material to it of the I believe 12A which has a greater expansion factor just bringing the pressure too high. So I learned a lot, hope this can help someone else also. BTW, the R12A is also more effiencent in cooling than other gases used prior I am told.
    Thanks again
