    Till taps Florida
Own judgement against a restaurant deposit is too much have sherriff seize the property is there such a thing as a till tap where I can go after the money in the register. They are open and pulling in money. They owe around a thousand I know on Friday night the sherriff could pull that out. Is anything like this possible in Florida?

Yes a till tap is possible. I had on done several years ago against a car wash where the sheriff was instructed to go the car wash for the hours of 11am to 3pm (4 hr tap) on a Friday, the busiest hours for a car wash. The owner immediately went to the bank and brought back the funds to satisfy the judgment in full but not before attempting to get the sherriff to accompany him to the bank several times. The sheriff told him he had his instructions and the only way he would leave was with the funds in full. Business owners will cringe at the thought of having customers watch a sheriff standing by their register seizing their funds as they come in. Think how embarrassing it would be for you in their shoes. Most till taps (if debtor has the funds) are paid ASAP and the sheriff hardly ever has to stay the full duration of the order. My belief is there is a 4 and a 8 hour till tap option available for most counties in Florida, go in and talk to the civil process department for your counties sheriffs dept for information as to your county.

The period also goes inside the quotation marks because it's the end of the sentence... seeing as this thread is about grammar and punctuation.

    Oh, it's not?

And congratulations to everyone. This thread is from June 2009.
