If it shows up as installed in Add/Remove programs, download a copy of Revo Uninstaller

Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download

Uninstall it using either the Moderate or Advanced function (in Revo Uninstaller).

If it doesn't show up in Add/remove programs, delete the Adobe\Reader subdirectory and the Adobe\Acrobat.com subdirectory.

Also, download a copy of CCleaner

    CCleaner - Home

And run that. Also run the Registry scan, at least twice, and delete everything that CCleaner finds (you can save a backup if you're worried). Finally download a clean copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader and install it.

Error 1327.Invalid Drive: [drive letter] while installing or updating Adobe CS4, Acrobat or Adobe Reader

    Using the Registry Editor
If you are not comfortable with editing the registry, I would not recommend but suggest to have a friend or someone you know and trust to make these changes. It is a minor edit but still would not recommend if not comfortable.

Your answer was for a program to be purchased. I can get that off the net. No thanks.
