6 yr old house trained dog now urinating in house
I have a 6 year old dog. She's been house trained forever. She stays out during the day and comes in at night. We've stopped giving her water before bed time and make sure she goes before she comes in. She's been peeing in the house EVERY night for the past couple of weeks... and I mean a lot of pee... and she is soaking wet in the mornings. I don't know if she lays in it or what. She's NEVER done this. During Katrina she was inside for 11 hours and didn't make a mess. I don't understand what's wrong with her.

Take her to the vet to get her urine analysed. She could have a UTI.

Dogs are pretty smart, yours might be getting water from a tap or from a toilette at night without you knowing. What time do you let her inside and what time do you let her outside?

Marley comes in when we are going to bed, around midnight. She is out no later than 6 am. I took her to the vet and she's been on antibiotics. She stayed inside last night and was fine. The Dr said if it wasn't a UTI, she may be losing control of a muscle and doesn't even know she's peeing. If that's the case, she will get different medicine in another week.

    Thank you for your answers.
