John Deere L110 riding mower keeps dying
I have a 4 year old John Deere L110 riding mower that dies when it hits a bump in the yard. Any little rocking motion and it just quits. Difficult to start after that happens. We've tapped on the carb bowl on the left side (when looking from the seat) and it seems to help. This small bowl has what I think is a solenoid on the bottom of it. Today, we took it off and emptied the bowl, cleaned the solenoid and it cranked right up. Could the solenoid be bad? Also, the fuel filter has been replaced but didn't seem to make any difference. However, should the filter be full? It's just about half full when off or idling either one.

    Hi,
I would guess that you have a seat switch "headed South" and it is giving you that symptom. A bounce might affect whether the switch "thinks" someone is seated or not.
    Peace,
