    Boot Screen
    HELP! I changed the look of my boot screen using a program that I later uninstalled.Now my boot screen doesn't come up and just shows a blank screen.It won't go past this blank screen.How do I restore my boot screen?

    Try starting the computer in safe mode. When you power up, hold down or tap the F8 key (depending on what version windows you have). Pick "safe mode". Once you're in find whatever it is that you downloaded and uninstall it. Then, Reset the boot screen to default. If you can restart after that without going into safe mode, you're good to go.

    Go to start, run and type msconfig
    Hit enter

    Go to Boot.ini tab
    -If there is a check mark in the box - /NOGUIBOOT
    Take check mark out and click Apply

    Let PC restart to see if it comes back


    If that did not help, what program did you use to initially change it? TuneUp utilities?
