    Subdivision Fees
Do I have to continue to pay subdivision fees if they homeowner's association just keeps saving the money and doesn't maintain the road that the fees are supposed to be for? The agreement says they can collect "an amount sufficient to maintain and operate said street," and "said assessment shall not exceed, in any one year, $150." There are 9 houses in the subdivision and they have over $12,000 in their account and the road in front of my house is falling apart. If they can only collect an amount sufficient to maintain and operate does that mean they shouldn't have any reserve, but should actually be spending what they collect on maintenance each year?

Read your bylaws. If you don't pay they may be able to place a lien on your home

So what you do is get all the homeowners together and vote the board out and put in a new board that will use the money to maintain the road.
