    Pipes Leaking
Three homes on my street have pipes in the walls that have leaked this year.

I live in Florida and all the homes are on slabs and the pipes are in concrete and the homes all about 20 years old.

What can cause pipes to leak in this situation and should I considered having my home repiped.

Greetings from Sarasota, The houses were built about the time I retired and are piped with copper. Aggressive water. Electrolysis, etc. all can cause pinhole leaks. If your beginning to get leaks now would be a good time to get three estimates and consider repiping. Good luck, Tom

Hot Water Pipes Might be Leaking Somewhere [ 2 Answers ]

Normally you have to let the hot water run awhile in my bathroom to get the water hot. Now it is hot instantly which leads me to believe there is a leak somewhere; however, I looked at all the usual places... no leaks. I have a four year old water heater which seems to be operating properly. I...

Leaking shower pipes [ 3 Answers ]

I have a very unusual problem. I have no idea what could cause these isolated 'damp' patches on the brickwork....

Leaking pipes [ 1 Answers ]

My best guess is that poor original work opened up a leak in response to heat or mechanical stress working on the other line. You need to drain the system, pull the leaking joint apart, clean it up good, and resolder it. I have actually had a pipe pull clear out of a fitting when I tried to make...
