    Basic A/C repair guide?
    Does anyone know of a good a/c repair basics manual? Thanks.

    Sometimes Ebay has basic repair manuals offered on CD/DVD format. Do a search there. Also a search on Google will return results for your manual. The ones we use at school are to detailed for someone just starting.

    You need one that is heavy on the electrical side to start then move into the refrigeration cycle. After that you can take the EPA test so you can work with refrigerants.

    When I was in school one of my teachers told everyone to grab Doolins hvac Troubleshooting bible... it is a little pricey but is a good book to have.
