    Connected but cant browse, default gateway went ?
    I've been connected to the internet for about a month or two its been working fine, But once I tried to connect to a different location it said I was connected but I could not browse the web the same happened when I tried to re-connect at my home, I'm using a belkin wireless adaptor on my laptop any suggestion I need to fix this problem asap thanks:confused:

    What "different location" are you talking about?

    If you are having problems with your router, first thing to do is to shut it down along with your cable/dsl modem. Power on the modem, wait a minute, power on the router, wait a minute and then power on your computer.

    Hey I've tried this before but no luck, what I meant was I've been using the internet fine I took my laptop over my girlfreinds house an tried to connect to her bt homehub it's the same as mine, but once I done so it wouldn't let me browse an me default gateway has gone same as the DNS server I went on to Run typed in cmd an the ipconfig/all an the numbers next to default gateway an dns had gone also the 2 IP things where not enabled any soloutions Thx

    Your router may still have settings from the other location still saved in it. You may need to reset the router and set it up again for your location. Your router should have a quick start guide that will help you with a reset and basic setup.
