    Missed periods and negative blood test
    Hi

    Last I saw my periods on 26 April 09 and I took pregnant home test on 4th May and blood test on 20 June both turned out negative but still I can't see my periods and for the June also there is no symptoms of my periods. I always develop some pains in my breast before my periods are due but this time nothing happenning. This is happenning to me very first time and my periods are also regular. Doc. Gave me some hormonal and iron tablets but I am not conveninced to take. Help.. should I got for U/S to rule out pregnancy?

    It really doesn't sound like you're pregnant. Normally I would recommend that if a hpt test was negative and you still thought you might be pregnant then to go and have a blood test done. But you've done that. And it was negative. And then your dr gave you pills and told you to take them. So my advice is to either listen to your dr or get a second opinion from another dr. if the only thing that is going to convince you that you are not pregnant though is an ultrasound, since the other negative tests haven't, then go for it. No harm can come from having one done, right?
