    A judgment against me.
    There was a judgement brought against me two years ago for credit card debt. I would like to know can they take my house? I'm disabled and receive Social Security only. Thanks,Truedreams.

    Generally a personal residence is exempt from attachment for unsecured debt. Though state laws vary. Your SSI is also exempt, but once commingled in your bank account can be attached. You should inform your bank that only protected income is being deposited.
