Kenmore dishwasher panel lights blink and fade. If you push one of the options the lights go off. If you push start the lights go off. Can't get the dishwasher to start.

Sounds like a bad power connection - somewhere. It's like what many experience in their automobile. They cut the ignition on and the dash lights up, but try to start the car and all power is lost - because a battery post has a poor connection.

You have almost enough juice to work your washer circuits but not enough to bring up a heavy current drain the pump motor requires. So first thing to do is look for a possible low voltage supply to the control board. Try unplugging the wiring connector plugs and look for any green and/or white corrosion on any pins. Spray with WD40. LOL
