    Unmarried couple refused rental property
    Friend of mine was refused rental property due to the fact him and his girlfriend (not married) would be living together. Is this legal?

    Do they have that in writing?

    While unmarried is not a protected class, it still might be a case. But proving it is another matter. That and do they really want a landlord that thinks that them being unmarried is somehow wrong?
